LAKE ÇILDIR LODGE

Despite its increasing fame, Lake Çıldır lacked accommodation to welcome its visitors in 2010s. To serve his hometown, Sazlisu Village, Prof. Dr. Yusuf Bayraktar, has had built a boutique hotel, Lake Çıldır Lodge, which is faithful to the regional architecture and designed for ecotourism. The mansion, opened in 2019, was built to bring growth to the people living in the vicinity while protecting nature.

Location

Walking distance to Lake Çıldır, 10 km to Turkey-Georgia border checkpoint, in the middle of Kars-Ardahan-Ruins of Ani triangle.

Located in the Çıldır district of Turkey's Ardahan province, Çıldır Lake Taş Konak is an architectural marvel where natural beauty and historical texture blend seamlessly.

Restaurant

There is a dining hall with tables and decorated as a museum displaying an Oriental corner, fireplace, and gadgets used in daily village life on the ground floor

Meeting Room

The room offers a comfortable and spacious environment for up to 80 participants, with ergonomic seating arrangements and ample space to ensure comfort even during long events.

Collection Hall

The "Ethnographic Collection Hall" within the mansion offers a unique experience for visitors interested in the history and culture of the region.

Bee Hives

At Taş Konak, we serve this special honey fresh at breakfast, allowing our guests to start their day with a natural and delightful experience.

The Lake

Lake Çıldır is a natural paradise located between the Ardahan and Kars provinces in Turkey, known as one of the country's largest freshwater lakes.

You can hike, or have a tour by horse sleigh or snowmobile on the frozen lake

Do not underestimate geese. Geese of Kars are grass-fed and they drink melting snow as they grow up

You just cannot get enough of Hangel (Kars dumpling) made up of caramelized onion, village yoghurt and butter
