The Lake

Lake Çıldır, one of the highest and largest ones in Turkey, presents you with inexplicable landscape and unique experiences

Located at 1959 meters altitude, and on a volcanic depression between Akbaba and Kısır Mountains, Lake Çıldır is the largest freshwater lake in Eastern Anatolian Region with its 42-meter depth. Located very close to the Armenian-Georgian border, fish is available for fishery all around the year.

From our lodge, you can hike to Lake Çıldır (4 km) or hire a bicycle in our hotel, or you can choose to drive, as well. In winter, you can have a horse sleigh or a snowmobile tour on the frozen lake. The surrounding steppes provide you with a landscape that would make you feel free deep inside, and the penetrating cold weather and the wind would refresh you freeing your mind of your daily troubles
