Çıldır Gölü Taş Konak: A Harmony of Natural Beauty and Historical Texture
Located in the Çıldır district of Turkey’s Ardahan province, Çıldır Gölü Taş Konak is an architectural marvel where natural beauty and historical texture blend seamlessly. This unique lodge is built using a stone masonry technique, utilizing natural rocks from the surrounding mountains of Çıldır. The construction process required the establishment of a special stone-cutting workshop within the premises, where tons of rocks sourced from the mountains were meticulously cut, processed, and refined for use in the building.
Our lodge spans a vast area of 15 acres and includes the main lodge building, an annex, a stone restaurant, a traditional tandır house, an ancestral home relocated from a nearby village, a conference hall, an apiary, and extensive green spaces. All these areas are enclosed by a stone wall that harmonizes with the environment. Çıldır Gölü Taş Konak is not only remarkable for its use of natural materials but also for its attention to architectural details.
